It can be hard to hear, but it’s oh so true. Your negative thoughts become the stories you tell yourself to shape your life.

“I’m just not a morning person” – so you’re allowed to snooze through your alarm 10 times.

“I’m not a good cook” – so you can have crappy takeout food every night.

“I don’t have time” – so you can’t spend time bettering yourself because you’re jUsT sOoO bUsY.

“I’ve always been this way” – so you can’t ever change ANY aspect of your life.

Guys, I’m fed up with this mindset. Fed up with people saying they “can’t,” and that they actually believe all of the BS they tell themselves. But that’s the thing: those negative thoughts are the underlying problem to why you don’t act on the habits you truly want.

Your mind is the only thing stopping you from leveling up.

So let’s rephrase, shall we?

“I can’t cook so I can’t eat healthy.”

Turns out you don’t actually have to cook a lot to eat healthy. Buy yourself some pre-cooked chicken and some frozen rice & veggies and pop them in the microwave. Top with coconut aminos and BAM — you have a nutritious meal!

“I’m not a morning person so I can’t workout.”

Yes, you do. You just don’t make time. There’s a huge difference there. And although I do agree that some things are outside of your control (like having to take care of children for example), other things are. How much time are you spending mindlessly scrolling on social media? Track that, add it up, and I know you’ll realize how much time you actually have to spend!

“I’ve always been this way.”

Fine, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay in your old habits. Small changes lead to big results.

Your thoughts shape your habits and become your reality.
